Election 2018 – Update on Results

As you may be aware in our previous post and email communications, in collaboration with 10 other lake/residents associations we participated in an interview process and review of all municipal election candidates. After due consideration, we published a list of ‘Aligned Candidates’ which we made available to our members, both active and inactive.

Despite a voting system malfunction on election night, the results were eventually made available for Gravenhurst. Six of the candidates marked with an * below were on the list of Aligned Candidates – 86%:

  • Mayor –Paul Kelly (acclaimed)
  • District Councillors:
    • John Gordon*
    • Heidi Lorenz*
    • Sandy Cairns*
  • Ward 1 Councillor – Penny Varney*
  • Ward 2 Councillor – Joanne Morphy*
  • Ward 3 Councillor – Steven Klinck (acclaimed)
  • Ward 4 Councillor – Terry Pilger*
  • Ward 5 Councillor – Graeme Murray
